The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Penn State holds my best early memories - I'll never forget living at North Halls with all my friends, playing cards ("hearts", usually) late into the night, football games & wrestling meets, and so much more. I took the family back to the east coast this year, and we spent an entire day on campus while I re-lived my PSU days, showing them classrooms I spent a lot of time in, the Chemical Engineering labs, Old Main, etc. They were impressed. After graduating from PSU, I moved on to graduate school at The University of Texas and received a Ph.D. in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering in 1975. I then worked for 5 years in a post-doctoral position in the Anatomy & Physiology Department at the Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I worked in R&D at Cobe Laboratories (later, Gambro), located in Denver, CO for the next 20 years, and now work at WL Gore in Flagstaff, AZ. I've been married to Ellen Dore since 1991, and have 3 great kids: Amy (going to graduate school in York, England this year), Zack (just starting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff), and Taylor (graduating from High School next year).
